Juliano Laran

Juliano Laran received his Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Florida in 2008. Since then, Juliano Laran has been working as a professor of marketing and researcher focusing on consumer psychology.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Laran was listed by the American Marketing Association’s DocSIG group among the 50 most productive authors in the past decade in the area of marketing. He is also the recipient of numerous awards in his field, including an Early Career Award from the Association for Consumer Research and a Researcher of the Year Award.

His dozens of peer-reviewed papers are mainly concerned with consumer decision making and behavior. As a behavioral scientist, he has researched and written extensively about human motivation and goal pursuit.

Furthermore, he is a sought-after speaker and has been invited to present at numerous Business Schools and marketing conferences all over the US and internationally. He has acted as a member of the editorial review board for the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, and Journal of Marketing Research, and is an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Research in Marketing.
